1c. shortening
1c. brown sugar
1c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp.soda
3 c. quick oats
1-1/2 c. flour
1 small 6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs and vanilla. Add flour, oats, soda, salt, chocolate chips and nuts. Mix together and bake in 350 degree oven for 8 minutes. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
