Remove peel from 4 oranges Cover with cold water and bring to a boiling point and cook slowly until soft. Drain remove white portion using spoon. Cut into thin strips using scissors.

Directions:
Directions:
Boil 1/2 c. water and 1 c. sugar until syrup will thread when dropped from the tip of spoon. Cook strips in syrup(add red or green food coloring) for 5 minutes, drain and coat in fine granulated sugar.

Add red or green food coloring to last syrup mixture for a festive holiday appearance.
