2 cups sugar
2/3 cup white karo syrup plus 1/3 cup water
1 tsp oil of cinnamon (can be gotten from pharmacist)
1/4 tsp food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Stir sugar, syrup and water until dissolved. Boil until a drop in cold water crackles, (hard crack stage)
Add 1 tsp. oil of cinnamon and 1/4 tsp food coloring of choice.
Take off stove, shake to is coloring and flavoring.
Pour inot a greased pan.
When brittle, break into pieces.

Personal Notes:
I use red for cinnamon and green when I make spearmint. I use the amount of oil of cinnamon called for when get it from your pharmacy as it is very concentrated. Do not have face over the pan when you put the cinnamon into the hot mixture unless you need your sinues cleaned out. Your mom learned this the hard way.....
