1 Cup Butter
12 Large Onions Slied
2 Tablespoons Sugar
3 Quarts Canned Chicken Broth
1/4 Cup Brandy
12 Slices French Bread Toasted
1 1/2 Cups Sliced Swiss Cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Melt Butter in 5 Qt. Dutch Oven-over medium heat.
Saute onions for 15 minutes, add sugar; continue cooking 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Add broth, bring to boil; cover; simmer 45 minutes; add brandy. Ladle soup into individual heat proof bowls,add bread slices to each bowl; top with cheese, place under broiler 3 minutes or until cheese melts, browns.
