"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is something we make every year but it is different each time. The filling varies from year to year depending on what dried fruit was on sale or what we were able to dry over the course of the summer. Our favorites are figs with raisins, dried cherries with dried apples, and a mixture of all the leftover dried fruits to make a fruitcake type cookie. If using dried apricots we substitute lemon extract for the vanilla.
