1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
3 T Cocoa (dark or light)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c milk
1 c chopped walnuts

Directions:
Beat egg first before adding the rest of the ingredients. Drop mix onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for about 10 minutes. When cooled ice with powdered sugar icing.
