"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
“This is from a friend. It is really good and great to bring to parties. I included it because it reminds me of Ginger Cookies that my Aunt Leila, who was actually my dad's aunt, used to make. They were a family favorite from my childhood and like a lot of women of her time didn't use a recipe. She attempted to write it out, but no one could ever quite do it like she did. This recipe comes close and the dip just puts it over the top.“ Diane
