2/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp nutmeg
8 large apples peeled (sliced thin 3 cups)
2 tbsp water
2 tbsp butter
Deep dish pie shell
Topping:
1/2 c packed brown sugar
1 stick butter soft
1 cup all purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Filling: In a large bowl combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add apples and sprinkle on water and lemon juice. Toss until well coated. Spoon into pie shell. Dot with butter.
Topping: Mix all ingredients together by hand until crumbly. Top pie. Bake 50-60 minutes in preheated oven.

Make sure not to over mix the topping ingredients, if it is over mixed it will not be crumbly.
