1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. sugar
3 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl, beat butter, brown sugar and sugar until well blended. Beat in water and vanilla until smooth.

In another bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt. Stir into butter mixture until well incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.

Drop 1-tablespoon portions, 2 inches apart onto baking sheets.

Bake at 300º about 12-14 minutes, until edges of cookies are browned.

Store these in an air-tight container to keep them soft and chewy.
