1 cup shortening
1-1/2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2-3/4 cups flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º

Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs and stir well. Add remaining dry ingredients, mix well. Shape into balls the size of a walnut, roll in sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon. Place on ungreased cookie sheet

Bake 400º for 10-12 minutes
