1 c. butter, softened
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 c. cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Frosting:
2 c. chocolate chips
1 c. Eagle Brand milk
reserved cherry juice

lots of maraschino cherries

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl beat together butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Mix together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Blend well. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Press down center of ball and place a cherry in indentation. In small saucepan melt chocolate chips and Eagle Brand milk together over lowest heat. Stir in 4 tsp. cherry juice. Spoon over dough ball and cherry completely covering cherry. Bake at 350 degrees for 9 minutes
