1/2 c butter or margarine
1 c sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 c all purpose flour
1/3 c Hershey Cocoa
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
14 tsp salt
1 jar (10 oz) small maraschino cherries (abt 44)

Frosting:
2/3c sweetened condensed milk
1/2 c Hershey semi-sweet chocolate chips

Prepare Chocolate frosting, set aside. Heat oven to 350º. In a large mixer bowl cream butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt; gradually add to cream mixture until well blended. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Press center of each cookie with thumb to make indention. Drain cherries; place one cherry in center of each cookie. Bake 10 minutes or until edges are set. Remove from cookie sheet; cool on wire rack. Spoon scant teaspoon frosting over cherry, spreading to cover cherry.
