2 sticks butter or margarine
3 1/2 T. cocoa
1 cup water
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter, cocoa and water in a small saucepan and bring to boil. Add in flour and sugar and blend thoroughly. Add the remaining ingredients. Pour into a greased and floured jelly roll pan, 10 1/2 x 151/2 x 1. Bake in a 400 degree oven 20 mins. Cake will look moist but do not overbake. When cake is removed from the oven prepare the following icing:
3 1/2 T. cocoa
1 stick butter
1/2 cup milk
1 box posdered sugar, sifted
Nutmeats for topping, optional
Mix well and pour on cake.
