1/2 cup shortening
1/2 to 3/4 cup honey
1 egg
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda, rounded
1 cup applesauce
1 cup raisins
1 cup walnuts, chopped
Icing:
1 cup pineapple juice heated
4 tablespoons flour
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, honey and egg. Add applesauce alternately with dry ingredients, sifted together. Bake in a 9x13-inch pan at 350ºF for 20-25 minutes.
Icing:
Heat pineapple juice and thicken with flour mixed with a little cold water. Cool slightly and beat in cream cheese.
