3/4 c shortening
1 egg
1 c sugar
1/4 c molasses

Sift together:
2 c flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Add sifted dry ingredients to first mixture. Mix thoroughly and drop by teaspoons on greased sheet. Flatten with bottom of drinking glass that has been dipped in sugar. Bake 10 minutes at 375. While still warm, roll in confectionary sugar.
