2 1/2 lb. boneless chuck roast, trimmed 2 onions, chopped 12 oz. can diet-coke 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce 1 1/2 tablespoons vinegar 1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules 2 garlic cloves, minced 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard 1/4 teaspoon chili powder 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper 1 cup ketchup 1 tablespoon butter 12 hamburger buns
Put roast in 3 1/2 or 4 qt. slow cooker; add onions; combine cola and next 7 ingredients. Remove 1 cup and chill. Put remaining sauce over roast. Cover. Cook on high for 1 hour. Reduce to low and cook 9 hours or until roast is very tender. Remove roast and onions from cooker. Shred meat with 2 forks. Combine reserved sauce, ketchup and butter in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thoroughly heated. Pour over meat, stirring gently. Spoon onto buns.
