1 1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
4 1/2 cups flour
2 t. ginger
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 t. salt
2 t. cinn.
1 t. cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar and rest of dry ingredients together. Combine all together. Chill thoroughly. Shape into ball, size of a walnut. Roll in white sugar. Place on cookie sheet that has been highly greased. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. When half done press down with glass bottom dipped in sugar.
