1 gallon water
1/2 cup salt
1 cup vinegar
2 t. alum

Directions:
Directions:
Bring to a boil. Pour over packed pickles or peppers and seal with boiling lids and rings.

P.S. When packing hot peppers be sure and wear gloves and keep fingers from your eyes.
