1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1tbsp. white vinegar
2 1/2 c. flour
1 scant tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter, shortening and sugar in electric mixer. Add egg, vanilla and vinegar. In separate bowl mix flour, salt and baking soda. Gradually add to wet mixture until dough forms. Refrigerate dough for one hour to make rolling easier. Roll dough on lightly floured surface. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased baking pan. Bake at 350º for 8-10 minutes.
Mix confectioners sugar and small amount of milk and food coloring. Frost cookies once cooled.
