If you don’t have all of the following spices – DON’T WORRY. Just throw in what you have, and you’ll be fine.

I 4-5 pound Beef Brisket or Beef Shoulder English Roast
1 Tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon sugar
½ teaspoon oregano
¼ teaspoon ground red pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
Barbeque sauce

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325.

Combine all the spices, mix well. Get a large piece of foil, large enough to completely wrap the brisket in. Put the roast on it, then rub the spice mixture all over the meat, all sides.

Wrap the foil tightly around the meat, and place in a shallow roasting pan/cookie sheet.
(It wouldn't hurt to wrap it in a second layer of foil)

Bake at least 3 hours, meat will be very tender.

Shred, slice or chop the meat and serve with your favorite barbecue sauce on buns.

Makes a lot of servings, around 10-12.
