3 egg yolks
2 c. milk
1 lemon
1 c. sugar (small)
2 tbsp. cornstarch (heaping)
butter size of hickory nut

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg yolks til light and creamy. Scald milk, and add grated rind of lemon, sugar, beat in egg yolks, cornstarch which has been dissolved in a little milk, butter.Cook slowly til thick. Just befor taking from the stove add the lemon juice. Pour in baked pie shell top with egg whites, (meringue). Bake til brown.
