1 -2 butternut squash
6 large cloves of garlic,
1 loaf of French or Italian Bread
Olive or corn oil, 1-2 tbs,
Large frying or saute pan with a cover,

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and peel the butternut squash and then cut into large chunks or sections,
Heat olive oil in the frying pan at low temp,
Slice garlic cloves, and add to the frying pan,
Saute until soft but not browned,
Add the butternut squash,
Cover and cook at low heat until tender,
Add a little water if it looks like it might be burning on the bottom of the pan.
When tender, add cut up chunks of the bread to the top of the butternut squash, soft side down.
Cover and shut off heat.
Keep the lid on until ready to eat.
