graham cracker crust (Keebler large is best)

filling: 3/4 # cream cheese (1 1/2 pkgs)
2 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp vanilla

topping:
1/2 pt sour cream (8 oz.)
2 T. sugar
1 tsp vanilla

prepare 24 hours in advance

mix filling ingredients on medium.
Pour into crust.
Bake in preheated 350 º oven for 24 minutes

Remove and set oven for 450º
Combine topping ingredients and spread over pie.
Grind fresh nutmeg over pie unless using fruit which goes on just before serving

Bake at 450º for 5 minutes.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours.

Do not use low fat or store brand cream cheese. Philadelphia works best. Be sure the filling ingredients are thoroughly mixed--no cream cheese lumps. It helps if you let the cream cheese come to room temperature before mixing.
