3/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 c. flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp cloves
3/4 tsp ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar, egg and molasses together thoroughly. Combine dry ingredients and add to first mixture. Shape into balls and cook at 375º on greased cookie sheet. Immediately roll in granulated sugar when removed from oven.
