4 tablespoons butter
cups sugar
3 egg yolks
1 cups cake flour
3 teaspoon baking powder
cup milk
teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Beat in egg yolks one at a time. Beat well. Add flour sifted with baking powder and salt, alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Spread in 2 - 7" or 8", greased and floured, layer cake pans. Bake at 375 for 20 to 25 minutes.
