1/2 cup oleo, softened
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped nut meats (e.g. walnuts, pecans or almonds)
10 oz. frozen raspberries, partially thawed--or fresh berries
1 cup granulated sugar
3 egg whites at room temperature
1 cup heavy cream, whipped, or 1-8 oz container of whipped topping

Directions:

Mix oleo, brown sugar, flour and nut meats. Spread on a cookie sheet and bake in a 400º oven for 12-15 minutes. Cool and crumble. Then, spread into a 9 inch pie plate.
Beat raspberries, sugar and egg whites for 15 minutes at high speed with an electric mixer in a large bowl.
The mixture will become meringue-like and voluminous. Fold in the whipped cream or topping. Place into shell and freeze 6-8 hours. Serve directly from the freezer.
