Heat oven to 375
1 lb, of sweet butter
3/4 cup of powder sugar
juice of one orange
3 oz. of cognac (or something similar)
2 cups of chopped walnuts
5 cups of CAKE FLOUR (this is important)
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1 tbs. ground cloves or dusting sugar (may need more) as you add more powdered sugar for dusting, add cloves to taste

Beat Butter until whipped cream consistency - 15 min
add powdered sugar and mix. Add one cup of flour, mix. Add orange juice and cognac and nuts. Add rest of four one cup at a time, mixing well between cups.
Roll into one inch or so balls. Place on cookie sheet and bake 10 to 15 minutes until light brown on bottom. Test one after first batch of baking for doneness and adjust your baking time. When out of the oven roll in powdered sugar, and cool completely, then roll again.
