1 3/4 cups flour ( sift together with soda and salt)
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Cream together:
1/2 cup Margarine
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
Add 1 unbeaten egg
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

Beat well. Blend in dry ingredients gradually. Mix throughly. Shape in balls using a rounded teaspoon for each. Roll balls in sugar (optional) and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes. Remove sheet from oven and place a solid milk chocolate candy kiss or a chocolate candy star on each cookie pressing down firmly so cookie cracks around edge. Return cookies to oven and bake 2 to 5 minutes more, or until golden brown.
