1 Cup Warm Water (Or 3/4 Cup Water and 1/4 Cup Canned Milk)
1/2 Yeast Cake
2 Tbsp. Sugar
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tbsp. Shortening
2 Cups Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Put 1/2 cup of warm water in bowl, add 1/2 yeast cake to the other half in cup.

Add into bowl: sugar, salt, shortening, and flour. Makes a stiff batter. Let rise 1-1/2 hours. Work enough flour into batter to be able to pinch off in small ball. Let rise and bake.
