3 pkgs. frozen crookneck squash
3/4 stick butter, melted (can use less butter)
8 oz. (approximately) sharp cheddar cheese, grated
15 soda crackers, crushed
3/4 can evaporated milk
1 1/2 tbsp. chopped onion
salt, pepper, and garlic to taste

Directions:
Directions:
To cook squash: bring 3 cups water to a boil with 3/4 tsp. of sugar and a dash of salt to. When water boils, add squash. Cover. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from stove and drain. Mash squash and mix with 1/3 of the melted butter, cheese, 10 crackers, milk, onion, salt, pepper and garlic. Mix the rest of the saltines with the remaining butter and sprinkle over the squash mixture. Bake at 400 for 30 minutes.
