1 chocolate cake mix
30 light soft caramel candies
3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 cup chocolate chips
2 cups chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Remove wrappers from caramels and place in sauce pan. Add butter and evaporated milk. Melt caramel mixture over low heat, stir periodically, cool.
Follow directions on cake mix. Place 1/2 batter in 9 X 13 pan. Set rest of batter aside. Bake cake batter 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven, cool. When cake is well cooled, pour caramel mixture over it. Sprinkle over this the chocolate chips and chopped nuts. Then pour rest of cake batter over. Bake everything for another 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
