1 c butter, softened
½ c granulated sugar
1 T vanilla extract
1 t baking powder
2 c sweeten dried cranberries
1 ¼ c uncooked quick-cooking oats
3 T shortening
1 c firmly packed brown sugar
1 lg egg
2 c all purpose flour
½ t salt
1 ½ c pecan pieces, toasted
3-4 oz white chocolate baking bars

Directions:
Directions:
*Preheat oven to 375. Beat butter at medium speed with mixer until creamy. Gradually add sugars, beating well. Add egg & vanilla beating until blended.
*Combine flour, baking powder, salt- gradually add butter to mixture beating until blended. Stir in cranberries, pecans and oats.
*Drop dough by heaping Tablespoon 2 inches apart on to lightly greased baking sheet.
*Bake for 9-11 minutes or lightly browned. Let cool on baking sheets 2 minutes and remove to wire racks to cool completely.
* Microwave white chocolate & shortening in bowl n high 1 minute or until melted. Stirring once. Dip half of each cookie into melted chocolate letting excess drip back into bowl. Place dipped cookies on wax paper let stand until firm.
