2 cups sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 vinegar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbs butter
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingreds and cook until bridle threads form when a small amount is dropped in cold water and stays on top of the water. Pour out on buttered platter. When cool add vanilla and pull until mixture hardens. Stretch out and cut into pieces covering them with a thin layer of powdered sugar to keep them from sticking. Rinse hands often in cold water, while pulling taffy.
