10 lbs. baby back pork loin spare ribs
1 bottle stout beer (We use Black Butte)
3 garlic cloves, smashed
(Optional) 1/2 c. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Place the raw ribs in a stock pot. Use water to barely cover the ribs. Take a sip of the stout beer and then add it to the water, along with the garlic and salt. Bring the liquid to boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low, and simmer for 1-2 hours, depending on how tender you want them. Remove ribs and smother with favorite beer BBQ sauce.

Sometimes after smothering in the BBQ, I throw the ribs in the oven and broil them for a couple of minutes to slightly carmelize the sauce to the ribs. Yum!
