1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over oatmeal. Cover and let stand for 20 minutes. Cream sugars and shortening together, add two eggs and beat well. Mix into oatmeal mixture. Add flour, cinnamon, salt, and soda to the mixture. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
