1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. cocoa
1 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vinegar
2 oz. red food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, and eggs together. Paste together food coloring and cocoa. Add 1 cup buttermilk and slowly mix in flour and salt. Combine vanilla, soda, and vinegar into mixture. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
