8-10 slices cooked bacon, cut into small pieces
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/2 c. carrot, chopped
1/4 c. flour
2 cans (14 1/2-oz) chicken broth
1 pkg. (1 lb. 4-oz) shredded hash browns
1 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cook bacon in large saucepan. Add onion and carrot; cook and let sit 3 minutes. Add flour and cook and stir until smooth. Stir in broth. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Add hash browns. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 6-8 minutes or until potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in milk. Cook 2-3 minutes or until thoroughly heated (DO NOT BOIL).
