3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 T. vanilla
3/4 tsp. soda
2 small boxes instant chocolate pudding
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Add soda and mix well. (Soda may be mixed with the flour.) Add pudding and flour and mix well. Add coconut. (This makes a very heavy dough and the coconut may have to be mixed in by hand.) Cover and set in refrigerator for 24 hours. Roll into walnut-sized balls and then in powdered sugar. Bake at 350ºF for 10-12 minutes.

Frankie always called these "Shit Cookies" but when we take them out in public, we refine the name to "Snow on the Mountain."
