2 C, lentils, washed & picked over
5 qt. chicken broth
4 C. diced celery
3-1/2 C. sliced carrots
2 C. barley, washed
2 C. Oven Roasted Garlic and Onions(see recipe in Vegetable section)
4 tsp. dried rosemary
10 C. coarsely chopped tomatoes
Salt and Pepper to taste

Combine first 6 ingredients in large pot. Bring to boil over high heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add tomatoes, cover and stir occassionally until lentils are tenter to bite, about 15 minutes longer.

This freezes really well. Serve what you need the first time, then freeze in meal size containers to enjoy other days.
We sometimes add Keibasa sausage for added protein and taste.
