2 1/2 c. butter or shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. almond extract
almonds for cake center

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar and then add egg. Sift flour and blend into batter. Add flavoring and knead dough until smooth. Form into small balls and press middle in with nut. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes.
