1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups plus 4 heaping tablespoons sifted flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the sugars, butter, and oil until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to first mixture and mix well. Roll into small balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press down cookies with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake in moderately hot oven at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
