Ingredients:
- Tostadas (see Oven baked tostadas if you want to make a healthy version)
- 2 cups shredded chicken (methods follow)
- 1 cup refried beans (healthy version follows)
- Assorted topping suggestions:
*Tomato (slices or diced)
*Lettuce (shredded)
*Sour cream/ creme fraiche
*Guacamole
*Green or regular salsa
*Cheese: queso fresco/ feta/ your choice
*Chiles (serrano, jalapeņo)
*Chopped onions

Directions:
Directions:
Usually, a tostada will have a layer of refried beans, shredded chicken, lettuce, tomato, onions, salsa and/or guacamole and/or creme fraiche, and a cheese on top. You have to be stingy when you put the ingredients so your tostada holds up. Unless you're picky and only put two-three ingredients.

Personal Notes:
-Shredded chicken suggestions: you can always buy a rotisserie chicken and shred it yourself, or you can thaw skinless/boneless chicken, marinade in 1/2 cup vinegar, 3 tablespoons green salsa, some onion slices, and a jalapeņo chopped up. Bake it at 350 for 20 minutes, and shred it.

-For a healthier version of refried beans, take a cup of pinto beans in their stock and mash them in a food processor/ mash them the same way you do mashed potatoes. :) No added fats!
