1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
2 c. flour
powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, brown sugar, egg and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and add to butter mixture. Chill dough for 1-2 hours. Form little balls with the dough and roll in powdered sugar. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Cool a few minutes before removing from pan.

You can also drop spoonfuls of dough onto cookies sheet without chilling it, bake the same way, and dust with powdered sugar after they come out of the oven.
