1 cup margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar (or 1 cup honey replaces the brown and white sugar)
1 cup peanut butter (add 1/3 cup soybeans if desired)
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, well-beaten
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine & sugars until smooth. Add peanut butter & salt. Add eggs to creamed mixture. Measure flour, add soda, & sift. Add dry ingredients & mix well. Roll into little balls & press lightly with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees on cookie sheet placed on middle shelf of oven for approximately 15 minutes.

We didn't eat many sweets in our house growing up. Our sweets were honey and carob, if you know what I mean. Here was one of the yummy desserts my mom, Dorothy Wyatt Chavannes Flynn, made that we all loved.
