2/3 c margarine
2/3 c Crisco
1 c brown sugar
1 c white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
3 c flour
2-3 c chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together margarine, Crisco, brown sugar and white sugar.
Add eggs, soda, salt, and vanilla. Add flour 1 cup at a time. Stir in chocolate chips.
Put balls on cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 9 1/2 minutes.

I received this recipe from Ann Mattison whose husband was defense coach at Univ of Michigan. She would make the cookies large and hand them out to the football players after each game.
