4 pork chops or country ribs
1 large bag sauerkraut
1/2 tsp. caraway seed
1 apple, sliced (optional)
1 Tbsp. black pepper
1/2 to 1 C. water or apple juice
1 jar applesauce

Directions:
Directions:
Brown pork chops on both sides and place in roasting pan. Cover with sauerkraut and chopped apple. Add water or apple juice: sprinkle with caraway seed and pepper. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 1/2 hours. Serve with mashed potatoes and applesauce. Serves 4.
