1/2 cup soft butter or margarine, 1 cup brown sugar, 2 eggs, 2 cups sifted cake flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp clove, pinch nutmeg, 2 cups seeded raisins, chopped, 1.2 cup chopped nuts

Cream butter; add sugar and eggs. Beat until light. Add sifted dry ingredients, raisins and nuts. Mix well. Drop by tsp on greased cookie sheets. Bake in moderate oven of 350 for 10 minutes.
