5 cups flour
3/4 cup shortening
1 tsp soda
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp sugar

2 pkgs yeast
1/2 cup lukewarm water
2 cups buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Cut in shortening. Add buttermilk and yeast mixture. Turn onto floured surface and knead lightly. Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter. Let rise about 30 minutes. Bake 10-12 minutes in 400 oven. .
