2 cups white sugar
1 cup white corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
10 quarts popped corn

Directions:
Directions:
Boil all ingredients (except the popcorn) to the hard crack stage on a candy thermometer. Pour over popcorn in a large bowl (lightly salt if desired). With hands buttered, form into 3 inch in diameter balls.
