1/2 c. butter
1'2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 c. chocolate chips
2 t. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
1 t. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter, shortening, sugars, vanilla and eggs. Beat well. Add flour, soda and salt. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet and bake a 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Remove while still soft for chewy cookies.
(nuts and/or other flavors of chips may be added.)
